ESTABLISHING A FIRE PROTECTION AND RESCUE SYSTEM
Preparation of Fire Protection and Rescue Plans & Employee Training
Pursuant to Law No. 10237, dated February 18, 2010, “On Safety and Health at Work,” and Law No. 152, dated December 21, 2015, “On Fire Protection and Rescue Services,” employers are legally obligated to develop a Fire Protection and Rescue Plan and an Evacuation and Rescue Scheme for emergencies. This plan includes:
-
Evacuation Plan
-
Evacuation Drill
-
Fire Protection Systems (e.g., extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers).
Every enterprise must have a clear evacuation plan and scheme for emergencies. Employees must undergo evacuation drills to familiarize themselves with designated safe assembly points.
Additionally, the employer must train employees on the Fire Protection and Rescue Plan and certify personnel designated to operate fire extinguishers during emergencies.
